Week 9 The Holy Ghost is 2019's Ultimate Fighting Champion

On Tuesday we had a lesson at Mary Stoddards house. There are 5 adults living there and Mary moved in in December. She feels like heavenly father placed her in the house so that she can share the gospel with these 4 individuals. She's been working them since then and she finally got them to allow us to come share the first lesson with them. It was incredible. The holy ghost kicked two of them in the face because they started leaking. And we were like good kick holy ghost! and the holy ghost was like thank you I am very good at kicking! and we were like yes you are! And then we gave them all copies of the book of Mormon and we asked them to read Moroni 10 and hopefully that will be incredible. 

Thursday I got 29.7 seconds on the rubicks cube it was awesome

On Friday night we were able to go to the Raper compound. They recently had a death in the family and so bishop told us to go over and share the plan of salvation, Elder Anderson and I were worried that they were gonna be upset and we felt like it might be too soon but the holy ghost gave them a good kick as well because they started crying. It was an awesome lesson. They said they really needed it because all they've been thinking about is that she isn't there but they forgot all about where she was now. It made the mood a lot better in the home it was great.

On Saturday we helped sister Taylor move her stuff into another storage unit and I realized I am the worst at organizing things! Hillman's treated us to dinner at Three Flavors Kitchen which is this restaurant that has all different kinds of food. Mexican Italian Asian American and its all very delicious. 

Sunday Marc got confirmed!!! I did the confirmation and I was so nervous. I couldn't feel my body and I thought my legs were gonna fall out from underneath me. It was great though because I did it and he has the holy ghost now!

Week 8 Marc got bbbbbbaptizzzed

Sorry I haven't had the chance to make a weekly post so this is gonna be three weeks in one!! 

On Tuesday we met Breck. As Bishop Morris says, he is the most active nonmember that the church has ever seen. He has been coming to church regularly for 7 years. He has a problem with the idea that there is just one true church, and he believes that the book of Mormon has some truth but so does the Bible and so does the qur'an and all books have some knowledge in them. Ya know Bible bashing where people throw Bible verses at you to try to prove that there can't be any more scripture? Well Breck started book of Mormon bashing. He was throwing Alma 32 at us and saying that he can't deny the experiences he's had in other churches it was the weirdest experience ever!! 

Later that night we met Nate! He is a HILARIOUS blind guy. He kept on making jokes about his vision or lack of vision I should say. We were about to not even knock on the door because all the lights were out but we decided we should anyway and he came and we were like we are missionaries and he was like oh OK come on in and so we did and we talked for like an hour. Like 15 minutes in he was like oh you guys can't see can you I should turn on the lights and as he did he was like ah my eyes! just kidding I'm blind!! And it was so funny. Love that guy.

On Thursday we had interviews with President Wilding, what a great guy. It seems like he doesn't remember that embarrassing prayer a month ago which is great. Before interviews while we were waiting elder Anderson and I got the chance to talk with Elder Judd. He's a really awesome elder that is very fit and athletic. We got to talking about diet and exercise, which I have no healthy habit of in either area. Elder Judd told us about how he never puts anything bad in his body and he works out for an hour every morning and a half an hour at night, he also doesn't eat anything until noon and he doesn't eat anything after 6. I was like yea that sounds like the worst thing ever no thanks. But then throughout the rest of the day I got like 8 more signs that I need to start eating healthier and treating my body better and stop being fat and so I was just like fine heavenly father I get it!!! So now I'm doing a minor diet compared to what elder Judd does. I don't eat anything until 10 AM and I don't eat anything after 6. It is the worst. But we are on the road for skinny mitchy August 2019 just you wait. Flirt to convert will be more true than ever! Just kidding! 

On Saturday we had Marc's Bautismo!!!!! It was so awesome. Brother Hillman gave a wonderful talk on the holy ghost and sister Durant, who taught Marc before she went home, came back to Washington just for the baptism! She gave a great talk on baptism and how truly important the covenant is. And there were like 12 other missionaries there too!!! It was insane!!

Sadly on Sunday Marc couldn't get confirmed because he had work so hopefully next week!!

Today for P-day we went shopping and elder Judd came with me and coached me on what to get so I am now mega healthy. We also played GANGBALL!! Which is just great. It's basically soccer with wheelchairs. Super awesome.
