Week 3 - MT C ya later

dear diary, this week was not great in terms of my companionship. its not all sunshine and rainbows with elda marle and elda edgy. elda edgy is perfect as always but elda merrill is bugggggggggin me.. but its ok. we have talked a lot. a lot. more than i would ever want to talk about feelings. but he insists. anyway. i imagine our departure from each other will be sweet. :p

last week we had a trc with someone named Spencer and he was really cool. he seemed like he was really looking for some direction and i was so happy he looked to god for it. i hope he finds his way. another trc we had named summer. shes a member and we want to call her a liar. 

last week i forgot to share the lineup for the ladies, er sisters.

i don't know what else to write here that hasn't been written in other missionary emails. the mtc experience is pretty much the same for everyone. oh and if you want to, you can go listen to "behold thy mother" by elder holland from oct 2015. the missionary in the story is one of my teachers. hes so cool. imma miss him. anyway. peace out mi familia hasta fuego. and also sans serif is the font that I've been using for those of you wondering.

Week 1 - MTC

I heard that there is something called the paradox of the MTC, a year happens in a day and a day happens in a year. man is that the truth. it feels like i just got dropped off here 30 minutes ago but it also feels like it was a lifetime ago. lets just jump into it! on Wednesday we got to meet the companions, now lets take a look at the lineup:

looks pretty good right? well you would be wrong. it looks amazing. 

 guess i never really knew what the MTC was going to be like but im here to say that it is just like EFY. as a district we have all gotten really close to one another. we are all able to laugh at each others jokes but we are also able to be serious when the time comes. the food is awful and not filling at all. there is cholula though so that is a plus.

on Thursday night elder Merrill decided he was feeling sick and he need a blessing. now I've been blessed before and I've also been a part of a blessing before but this was the most incredible blessing I've ever been able to witness. we all felt the spirit so strongly and we all were basically crying it was super awesome.

on Friday night we got called to be zone leaders as a companionship and i know what you're thinking: it was probably just the right thing to do so there wouldn't have to be as much turn over but you'd be wrong.. its because we are better than everyone else. 

 Sunday was super long because as Zone leader, hence forth known as ZL, we have to get up and go to meetings at like 7:15 which means we have to be at the cafeteria by like 6:30 which is just super great. so on Sunday we were up and in meetings and lessons until 9 at night which had us all pooped. i don't know what else to write.

today we went to the temple and it was super awesome because i was next to elder yeehaw the whole time. he was a temple worker before and he had a whole bunch of fun facts and he kept on telling me how much he loved the temple which in turn made me love the temple even more as well. love that guy.

We had a service project scheduled for this morning but no one showed up so now we're just sitting around waiting for the time to run out
